Train Journey
Train Journey
A sunlight shadow was formed on the rock. Shadow was wavy, waving motion of fire. The temperature of the noon was burning the roof. Water had escaped to sleep in cool. No more trees and no more heat relief. The train was moving forward, and his eyes could see vast open lands. His eyes already saw the emptiness in life.
Mohan was thinking of all the storms that occurred in his life. " Bro," a heavy voice brought him into the present. He rubbed his eyes and looked forward.
"Bro, where you were lost in the thoughts?"
"Nothing much, what happened? Som."
Som sighs, "Listen carefully, but don't take stress."
"What," Mohan's eyes widen, "is everything alright"
"The train is detoured."
"What," his voice grew louder. The loud voice attracts the attention of the nearby passengers.
All eyes were fixed on them. Sight weight, making Som take heavy breaths.
"The train, " said Som, and wipes the sweat from his forehead, " train is lost and going unfamiliar ways."
"What " echoed in the compartment. Children cry, and mothers whisper, "How did this happen?" " how will we all return our home?". Chaotic echoes fill the seats of the train.
Both friends rush towards to find the TT. From one compartment to the next. A rush of flowing rivers in the closed spaces to meet the ocean. To seek answers, everyone was stepping into other people's shoes. " Tell us what happened". " Why this incident happened?" " How will we reach home".
Police arrive on the scene. The cops were trying their best to control the chaos of fear. At last, they picked up the weapon to intimidate the public, and the trick worked.
TT walked with hole-in shoes towards the center. He announced, "I do not know what happened much, but the Naxals have blown away the railway tracks." People begin to scream, " How did you know ?"
"Who told you?"
"What's next."
TT folds hands, and people sit with peace masks.
T T continues to inform, " Naxals are on the train, they told themselves, and now the train is lost direction and is in a directionless state."
" How come Naxals are on the train?"
" Where should we run "
" Our Government is sleeping."
The Police are trying to calm the burst bubble of tension in the compartment.
Chaos runs in the blood and the hour. People are struggling to run but where should they go?
Four Naxals walk into the compartment. Naxals were clothed in black covered their faces with black monkey caps and wore sunglasses. Police tried to talk out our peace and safety with them. They had number games with them, while the cops were only two in the entire train.
Naxals pointed their gun at the people and began to speak. One uncle stood up and said, "Please let us go, and you are not..." One Naxal interrupted him by putting the gun in his mouth.
Blood and silence both rush into the train and the human body. Mohan raises his hands. " Yes you speak," said Naxal.
" Where is this train going?"
“Ga ga ga,” The naxal laughs. He folds his lips inwards and speaks, “This train will stop at SahabGanj station.”
Naxal said and moved forward, “Our demands will be informed to you Mr. Cop at our destination.”
The policeman nods. A noise is heard in the compartment.
“Did you hear that noise?” Said Naxal as he was looking at his member, “Go check it out TK?”
Tk walks out of the compartment. He slightly opens the coach room and peeks inside. All of his mates were on the ground. Few were bleeding to death. Some were alive but had guns pointed over their head. Men in black clothes and covered their faces with red monkey caps. One of them was on the phone.
“Hey, boss we captured the coach, but we face a problem.”
“What problem BB?”
“Other terror groups are on the train.”
“Take them out and if any passengers resist, take them out too. Remember, you have a mission to clear.”
BB cuts the phone and looks back. He said, “Eliminate anyone that becomes the thorn of our path.” His eyes roll left, “Next coach is the last only handful of terrorists remains. Hail to God we shall see victory today.”
“OMG,” exclaimed Tk to himself. He clutches his gun and rushes back. His feet were electric and his heartbeat was about to blast. He enters the compartment.
Tk holds his breadth.
“What happened Tk?” asked the boss.
“In the compartment, everything was wrong.”
“What's wrong?” Boss looks around, and says, “No word drops from your tongue. ”His eyes were glowing red.
“You continue.”
“The terrorists have taken over and killed many of our comrades. Alive ones are subdued already. We lack force and our plan is spoiled.”
“Tsk,” Boss grins and the others can hear voices of his grinding teeth.
“What should we do next boss?”
We go left we die. We go right we die. We speak we die thought Mohan. The old man collapses on the ground. The cop takes a deep breath and thinks of a solution with closed eyes. He gets up and stands face-to-face with the Naxals.
Cops cleared his throat and said, “My name is Kara.”
The boss said,” Why are you telling us?” his eyebrows widened, “We didn't ask?”
Kara sighs,” I have got a proposal.”
“What proposal? And why should we listen to you?”
“Please listen to me,” said Kara and he bowed.
“Ok, you shall speak,” said the boss, looking at him with cold eyes.
“Let us work together, and save the passengers.”
“But why should we agree?”
“We all could die if we don't cooperate. Your goal was the hostages. Your goal was not to kill.”
“Right, but we do not trust the government. ”
Kara threw away his gun and badge and said, “We don't have time. If you agree, you could surrender.”
“No, but we could agree. If you let us escape.”
“I will not chase after you. If you escape on your own.”
“Deal”
“Deal.”
